Cloth Wipes

When Novella was born we had stocked up on huggies natural wipes. While these were great and good for new baby sensitive skin, I questioned if maybe I should be doing cloth wipes. One day I ordered an awesome Coast Guard cloth diaper for fun since her daddy is in the Coast Guard. When our diaper arrived it had a little letter about washing your diapers and how to make your own wipes solution. This got me thinking about it even harder, and after some discussions with Ryan about it, and doing some research I thought, well I could make those pretty easily. Then I remembered I have a newborn, a dog, a ferret and three chickens. Finding ample time for such a project, to go find the material, measure, make all the cuts and then sew…. I decided that the investment in buying them would be a much better option for me at this time.

I began to look around online, of course I checked out Amazon, and some other sites, but I went back to my old faithful. ETSY. I found my wedding dress, my veil, and countless other wonderful treasures on this site. So I typed in cloth wipes, I knew I wanted to have 75-100 wipes, since I would wash them with diapers I wanted to make sure we had an ample amount just in case the baby had more dirty diapers one day. After looking around I found an incredible shop called Lover of Life Designs, she not only has wipes but also washable panti-liners, eco bibs, nursing pads and so on. All of her material is pre-washed before she sews, this way when you wash it, it doesn’t shrink! She is a very honest woman, with a beautiful family! Also, her products are the best priced I could find, and quality!

Brooke from Lover of Life Designs has made a remarkable offer for all of my blog readers. If you purchase from her, use the coupon code BLOGFRIENDS2014. This code will give you a 10% discount on orders over $15!

Also, if you choose to go the cloth wipes route, which I highly recommend! Then you can always use the same wipes solution that I got from Honey Buns Cloth Diapers, http://honeybunsclothdiapers.com/homemade-solution-for-use-with-cloth-wipes/ It is a wonderful solution, and since coconut oil is a natural disinfectant it’s a win win solution!

Novella hardly ever has diaper rash anymore since we made the switch to cloth with this solution. You are washing your cloth diapers anyway, why not throw a load of wipes in with them! Two birds, one stone, and you get a discount and save money in the long run! Go buy some cloth wipes! 🙂
