So almost a year ago, to the day, we posted this photo to announce that we were expecting Novella, June 2014. Little did we know that she would make her debut 2 weeks earlier on May 22, 2014.

Well, we have an updated photo to share with all of you now. Not sure of the gender yet, but definitely EVEN MORE LAUNDRY EXPECTED, May 2016. The baby’s due date is expected to be 2 days before Novella turns 2 years old! May 20, 2016.

Just like last time, Ryan was on duty when I found out I was pregnant, but I couldn’t call him and tell him like I did last time, I owed him a little bit better announcement than…it’s positive, and then crickets chirping as he tried to figure out what in the world I was talking about. So this time, I let a photo tell it all. Ryan was underway getting hours on the boat when he received this photo via text message. He could hardly believe it, he was over the moon ecstatic!

We feel incredibly blessed that God has chosen to entrust us with another little life to raise and teach the ways of Christ so that they will come to know him and do his work one day. We had our first appointment the other day. Everything looks well, 147 bmp heart beat. They are thinking I will probably have gestational diabetes again, but that is nothing we cannot handle. We will cross that bridge when we get to it. We are just about 8 weeks now, momma is pretty exhausted and has nausea 24/7, but we are making it through! I was concerned that they would want me to wean Novella, since she still nurses full time, but they assured me that as long as I am getting nourishment like I am carrying twins then I will be fine. It takes a lot to nurse a baby, a lot to grow a baby, twice as much to do both at the same time. So far it is all going well though!
