Family Vacations

In November we went to SC and NC to visit friends and family. It was a much needed 2 week vacation, and completely rejuvenating. We got to spend a couple of days in Charleston visiting with old friends, and attending our our old Church family at Coastal Community Church, and then we got to spend almost a week and a half with Ryans parents in Oak Island, NC. Novella got to walk on the beach and put her toes in the ocean for the first time! It was an especially memorable visit, seeing as they had not been able to hold their grand daughter since she was 3 weeks old, since we moved to Wisconsin just shortly after she was born. What a truly special time of bonding it was for all of us! Ryan and I were reminded of our love for HDTV and all the remodeling shows that we discovered on our honeymoon in 2013, and simply had several veg out days where we did nothing at all, and it was a nice change of pace for those days! Here are a few highlight photos from that trip!

We were super bummed that a lot of friends and family were unavailable to see us while we were down there, but we are hopeful to make this trip annually to get to see everyone and spend time with family. Hopefully next time we are able to see siblings and nephew for certain! πŸ™‚

In other vacation news, as long as Ryans leave gets approved we are planning a trip down to Oklahoma to see my family mid February. It will be the last time I get to go somewhere before the baby arrives, as my doctor has asked that I not travel anymore after 29 weeks, and that will be on March 4th! Hard to believe how quickly this pregnancy has gone so far, much quicker than the latter, and I have Novella our awesome little toddler to keep me busy and on the go almost 24/7! It has been fun to visit family and let them get to know her awesome blossoming personality. She is constantly talking, dancing and singing. She says some of the funniest things, and it has been such a joy to see life through her eyes, take time to slow down and enjoy life from her perspective, even if that means sitting and having pretend picnics with stuffed animals, building blocks then tearing them down, BOOM!!! Playing dress up, tickle wars, and the quiet moments where she hugs and kisses on her baby sister growing in her mommas belly. There are so many more, and getting to share these moments with our families who live far away have been special, even skype dates have been memorable! So here are to many more visits with family, so they can enjoy watching their Grand Daughter and Niece grow up from afar!
