Girls Room

After we found out we were having another little girl, I began to work diligently at putting together a sweet room for the girls to share. Novella, who is still currently bed sharing with us, will HOPEFULLY be in her big girl bed full time before the baby comes. It is certainly not for a lack of trying! This way we can have the baby in either the rock and sleep or pack n’ play bassinet in our room for awhile before we move them into the same room. I have officially hit the nesting portion of the pregnancy, and have been going through all of the baby things we saved from when Novella was born, and going through totes and closets in the house purging like crazy! It has certainly kept me very busy. However, the biggest task at hand was how to I make the girls room special for each of them. We moved wall decor around so that Novella could have her special pieces on her side of the room. The wall is still quite barren on the other side as we do not have much if anything for new baby girl quite yet, but it is all in the works. I organized the dresser and closet so that both of them could have their clothing organized. Which also helps when Ryan goes to dress them, he knows where to find everything now! This is a short blog, but without further ado, here are some updated photos of the GIRLS room!

Each girl has her own basket of keepsakes in the dresser, where I keep baby cards, pregnancy journals, and baby journals, along with ultrasound photos, etc. We originally bought some bedding that had huge cartoon bugs on it for Novellas bed, and she refused to go into her room, let along get onto her bed. Ryan has since taken that to use on his rack when he is on duty. This bedding was given to us generously by a friend, along with the rug that adds some color to the room! The changing table is still inside of the closet, with a little lamp and organized with the hanging diaper holder for all of our 50+ cloth diapers we now own! It is a very nice set up, and keeps the room clutter down!
