Ramblings By Ryan

Hi, I am Ryan (Micah’s Husband), so this will be my first blog post ever…..like EVER. With that being said, this is going to probably be a shorter blog post.  My wife recently posted about playing like a child with our neighbor boys, Fall Days. Micah has shown me pictures and videos that she finds that are about boys being boys. One that she really likes that she gets a good laugh out of is when these two boys got into their fathers paint and painted themselves from head to toe, and the dad has them in the shower trying to be serious and punish them. After watching the video Micah says, “I don’t know what I would do with boys”, in a half joking voice, and like a foolish man I believed her.

Well I had my eyes open that day we went out and played in the leaves with our neighbors (the boys as Novella calls them).  It’s not like I was seeing a side of Micah that I hadn’t seen before, but I saw her confidently playing, rough housing with not one but two younger boys. Boys that in years past we both would have been overwhelmed with.  Micah has constantly said how she is so impressed with how I have matured, both as a man, and a man in Christ. Well it’s my turn.  I’ve always known that Micah was going to make a great momma and the way that she runs the household with two little girls, a dog, and 4 mischievous hens is nothing short of breath taking.  I’ve told her that having a boy is no different than a girl…for the most part haha.

So I guess what I’m trying to say is: life is ever changing, you are not the same person that you were yesterday nor will you be the same person tomorrow.  Something that you like today you might dislike tomorrow, something that you are not ready for today you may be longing for tomorrow. And no we are not pregnant again…yet
