Every year since Ryan and I got married we have had at least one significant, life changing event happen every year. As we approached 2017, I was wondering what our big life changing event would be, and it has happened….
2013 – Ryan and I got Married, I got out of the Coast Guard, and we conceived our first little girl.
2014 – We introduced Novella to the world, then moved 1160 miles away to Sturgeon Bay, WI
2015 – We purchased our first house, conceived our second little girl.
2016 – We introduced Aveline to the world.
2017 – WE ARE NO LONGER HOMEOWNERS!!!
Now if you’ve been reading our blog regularly you knew we were in the process of selling our home. Next year we will be transferring somewhere new…. no idea where yet, but in 2018 we will find out. This morning we officially closed on our house!
Last night I went by to put the garbage and recycling cans back up by the garage at the house, and as I was pulling out of the driveway, I realized that it would be my last time leaving this place. This house where we created so many wonderful memories as a family of three and then as four. It was the home Aveline was conceived in, and the first place she would ever call home. I cried, so many overwhelming emotions that I had no idea I felt about this home.
Alas, we are moved into our apartment (that is another story to be told). This will be Novellas 4th home, Avelines 2nd, and Ryan, Novella and My 2nd move while living in Sturgeon Bay since 2014. We have been busy bees. However, knowing the house is sold is a huge sense of relief, and weight lifted.
Now as this chapter closes, it is a little easier to breathe and see the light at the end of this somewhat chaotic year we have had. We are now entering into December, one of my favorite months; with one less stressor on our plate, in a new place to call our home, less debt now with the mortgage gone and a little more money in our pocket. Things are looking up, we are grateful to God that he found the right buyer and everything went as smoothly and quickly as it all did. Everything fell into place perfectly, which shows us that it was without a doubt God’s doing and his plan for us all along.
So, if you need our new address, let me know! Haha
