You may have seen on Facebook already…BUT…
After 7 days of driving, 6 nights in hotels, 2032 miles and 30 hours of driving, the Frazier Frontier arrived safely at our new home in Bremerton, Washington on July 1st. Thank you for your prayers and support for us this week. If you are in need of our new address please let us know!
We took the trip slow and had fun stops along the way!
Minneapolis, MN – Mall of America, Cannolis at Carlo’s Bakery, Glam Doll Donuts
Brookings, SD – Met Novellas Irun4 siblings runner Ms. Cheryl Holiday, went to the Childrens Museum of SD and a saltwater pool at the hotel with a big slide that Novella experienced all by herself (SO BRAVE!)
Rapid City, SD – Mount Rushmore, kids indoor waterpark at the hotel, and big slides for Novella again. Aveline was a little overwhelmed and stayed in our arms the entirety. It was busy and loud. Hotel room service to finish the night off.
Billings, MT – Another fun pool, stayed at hotel for the afternoon and spent a couple of hours playing at the pool and doing laundry! This pool was much quieter, empty and fun. This was voted the best hotel of the trip by the entire family, probably because of the best pool. We found out Aveline is a little fish. Jumping in, kicking her legs and going! I’m sure her low muscle tone helps, so much buoyancy!! This hotel also had fun vending machines, so much so that we spent a total of $7.50 on bottled water! Hotels are fun for little kids for sure!!
Missoula, MT – Insectarium and butterflies, it was not what we were expecting, but the girls seemed to enjoy it regardless, very educational, Novella was brave again and held a bug, which if you didn’t know she it typically terrified of them! A gourmet cookie shop, I was not overly impressed. Cracker Barrel for supper, then Ryan took the girls to the pool, whil I enjoyed some quiet in the Sauna and Steam room. Ryan went back after I got the girls in the tub! Ryan and I vegged out after the girls went to sleep watching battle bots and sharktank.
Spokane, WA!! We made it to our new home state, but still one more overnight at a hotel. We drove downtown which was chaos. They were doing hoopfest which is the largest 3 on 3 basketball tournament in the country I believe they said. Basketball hoops on every street for miles and miles. We did the skyride over the falls, it was lovely and a fun experience! Then we did Wonderland Family Park with the girls, arcade games, icees the size of the girls, blacklight minature golf…it was a much needed fun day! No pool, it was late and we were tired, girls got to watch a movie on the ipad.
The next morning we got up and drove fhe rest of the way to our new home in Bremerton. It was overall a very fun trip. Albeit exhausting at times the girls and dog all did remarkably wel, we could not have asked for a smoother trip out to the Pacific Northwest. We are very excited about our new home, photos to come of that after we have settled in.
We went by Ryan’s new unit and met some people. Ryan already knew two shipmates he had been stationed with before, and I know a shipmate that I went to boocamp with. Small Coast Guard for sure. We are excited about how family oriented his unit is, and that there are more people our age around town and kiddos on our street! We’ve met several of our neighbors and they are pretty fantastic as well!
Thank you again for your continued prayer and support for us as we made the journey across the country.
Wow, what an amazing journey as you begin yet another adventure. We definitely need your new address and meant it when we said we’d visit. So happy for you to be surrounded by families your age, it will make such a difference. Love and miss you!
