One Month in Washington

Well, we have been in Washington for just over a month now. It has been one busy month. We got our belongings, we unpacked, got everything in its place, things hung on the walls, and got the lawn tools we needed.

Avelines medical care is on a roll, we have referrals in place, appointments scheduled, and working on a few others. We have already seen gastrointerology, and they had positive things to say. We decreased the size and length of her tube, and they want us to meet with a pediatric dietitian and discuss adding blended food to her tube feeds! We will finalize our schedule for her therapies next week, and she has a dental consult next week as well. Genetics is a 9-12 month waitlist but we are on it. We see developmental peds in September, we are on the cancellation list to see neuromuscular and neurodevelomental and will schedule with dietician soon as well.

Aveline also got a fun surprise this week, we ordered doll braces for her dolly and they arrived this week. Shishka Bob Designs was up for the challenge and did a remarkable job! Dolly also had a gtube placement surgery and looks more like Aveline now. Aveline was so excited her doll had a tubie like her.

Our fridge quit working this week, our landlady ordered a new one and it was delivered the next day. We lost some items, but they were generous to give us some money off our rent to help cover the lost items.

We have been getting to send time with our old friend Stacy from Charleston and her 3 beautiful children. God really knew what he was doing with having us stationed here when he did. We both were in need of the rekindling of this relationship at this very time for various reasons. The girls have enjoyed becoming friends with their kiddos as well. Novella has really been missing her closest friends from Wisconsin, and has been praying for them unprompted a lot lately. Her little heart is so tender and sweet.

Ryan has reported to his new job, we are working on figuring out a new balance, we have not seen one another this often for this long since we met in 2010. To say we have more time for family time and hobby time is an understatement! Lol

I am working on diet and physical activity changes in my life, but also plan to start sewing again as well. I will be officially starting Novella with homeschool this year. She will be doing some pre-k and kindergarten activities. I am excited and have been in major prep mode this week.

I will try to write more often so all of my blogs are not this long! Lol thank you for reading. We are truly blessed to be here in Washington, we are excited to see what God has in store for us here!

  1. LOVE all the pictures and the blog was not too long. It’s wonderful to see and hear about the many, many things going on in your lives. You may not feel like it, but you are a remarkable woman and Mom. Perfect? No. Remarkable? Definitely. We now have more specifics to pray for regarding the sweet Frazier family. Love & 🤗 hugs!
